Liverpool Player Ratings: Forwards

Right Forward. Liverpool. MOHAMED SALAH. 8. What else is there to say about Salah. Gets tons of goals. Finishes like a dream. Clutch, confident and class. Clearly Hodgson’s tactic to follow Salah around the pitch with two fellas. That worked well in the first half with only a couple of long range efforts for the Egyptian King. The change of formation helped him and pushed him further inside where he took his only decent opportunity, putting Sakho on his arse in the process.

ROBERTO FIRMINO. 7. The greatest success of Palace today was to minimize the attacking influence of Bobby Firmino. Playing two deep midfielders crowded the space he like to work in and he was reduced to speculative efforts. However all the work and effort was there to see; epitomized by watching him make a tackle in the left back position in the 94th minute.. Center Forward. Liverpool

7. More involved than any Liverpool player in the first half. He began it by making a sensational pass to TAA on the wing before being involved in the half’s most controversial moment. He was clipped in the box but put in an elaborate, late dive earning him a yellow card. One of those decisions Spurs get every week. Had a goal ruled out (rightfully) for offside. Got the second off to a great start with a solid finish to equalize. More controversy followed when he was fouled and it wasn’t given before he picked up the ball for a deliberate hand ball. No yellow was given and he was subbed straight after. Mad game for Sadio.. Left Forward. Liverpool. SADIO MANE

Substitutes

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain – 7

Brought on as part of a double substitution to get Liverpool a winning goal. His energy and vision was vital to getting the Reds that winner.

Adam Lallana – 6

Heart break for Lallana as he was stretchered off after only five minutes. Probably the last time we will see him this season. Or ever?

Dejan Lovren – 6

Hard to believe that Klopp brought on Lovren for Lallana when we needed a goal. Going to three at the back did help the full backs get forward and ultimately proved a good decision.
