Liverpool star forward Mohamed Salah is used to winning online polls. If fans get their way then he could grace the cover of FIFA 19 this year.
It has been a stellar season for Egyptian superstar Mohamed Salah. He has an incredible 37 goals this year and still has all of April and May to add to that tally and is in a two-way race with Manchester City’s Kevin de Bruyne for Premier League player of the year. The conversation is turning towards can he be considered in a tier of players with Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
One thing that will confirm his ascendency is if he is rewarded by being the cover star of the FIFA 19 later in the year. The Egypt Independent is running an article claiming he is on target for just that. He is leading an online poll to be the next player featured on the popular game.
Winning online polls is the only thing Mohamed Salah does as well as scoring goals. He is an idol in his homeland and has a worldwide fanbase of Liverpool fans who are in love with the ‘Egyptian King’. That is plenty of support that will back him up for player/goal of the week/month/year awards. Plus he deserves most of them; even most neutrals can’t deny that.
For the FIFA 2017 cover they let fans choose. They picked Marco Reus (@John_W_Henry @Linda_Pizzuti “Sign Reus!) to be the cover star. If they give the fans the opportunity this year then there is no doubt the online hoard of Reds and Egyptians will win him the prize.

Of course there is always the likelihood he wins the Champions League, has a stellar World Cup and they just give him the cover without a poll at all. That’s what I’m hoping for anyway.
