Liverpool battled out a 0-0 draw against Everton in the Merseyside Derby at Goodison Park. Here are our Liverpool player ratings v Everton.

Liverpool played out a 0-0 draw in a Merseyside derby lacking quality or much genuine intensity. Allardyce had his side set up to defend for the first 70 minutes before pressing late but the Reds held on for a point. Most importantly there were no major injuries.

A heavily rotated side sandwiched between the Champions League second legs, Jurgen Klopp made five changes today. Both full backs were replaced with Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andy Robertson making way for Ragnar Klavan and Nathaniel Clyne. The Englishman was making his first start of the season after recovering from injury.

There were two changes up front with Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah being rested. Danny Ings made his first start for Liverpool since 2015 after three years of injury hell. Dominic Solanke got the nod in the central role. Gini Wijnaldum replaced Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain in the midfield.

Here is the Liverpool Player Ratings v Everton:

5. Introduced himself to the action with a brilliant diving save to his left to tip wide a curling shot that was going in. Despite the late Everton pressure they didn’t force the keeper into anything. Another clean sheet for the German who is making an incredible case to be the goalkeeper next season and keep Klopp out of the transfer market.. Goalkeeper. Liverpool. LORIS KARIUS
