Right Back: Nathaniel Clyne

Clyne returned to first team action last Saturday against the Blues. He put in a decent shift and lasted the full 90 minutes, helping Liverpool to a clean sheet.

His attacking play was very conservative. He rarely ventured forward; instead choosing to provide a solid back four and keep an eye on Yanick Bolasie. He did the job without fuss or drama.

He is not as much of an attacking option as Trent Alexander-Arnold but neither is he a pure defender like Joe Gomez. Clyne has always been a balanced defender and that will be needed on Saturday.

I am not very worried about the Bournemouth attacking threat. They have two good players in Callum Wilson and Joshua King but neither are in great form and they have no support from midfield.

If Klopp can give Clyne a little more license at Anfield  against a bottom half side then he will do a fine job at both ends of the pitch and rack up some more valuable minutes in the first team.
