Liverpool fans love everything Andy Robertson does but it was his throwing of Roma full back Florenzi that has really got Reds pumped!

The rise and rise of Andrew Robertson. Another excellent Champions League performance has been heralded in almost every quarter. However, one moment in particular has really got Liverpool fans hyped up.

In the second half the left back was pressing high up the pitch and got in a tangle with Roma right back Alessandro Florenzi. As the two players tussled out-of-bounds, Robertson took the Italian and dumped him on the race track.

Then Kostas Manolas, the Greek center back, comes rushing over to his teammates defense only to be greeted by a smile from Robbo!

Safe to say that the Liverpool fans loved to see that kind of aggression and refusal to be intimidated in a hostile European away environment. He picked up a yellow card for his troubles, as did Manolas for his reaction. Some yellows are worth it.

It has been a stellar debut season for the Scottish full back. After being on the fringes of the first team for the first four months of the season he has become indispensable to Jurgen Klopp since winning the left back job in December.

Alberto Moreno had been playing the best football of his Liverpool career at left back prior to his injury. Now there is no chance the Spaniard can get close to the role; such is the rapid rise of Robertson from Premier League squad player to European contender.

The best way to finish his debut year at Anfield would be to collect a Champions League winners medal in Kiev. It would cap off a remarkable rise for the young star and would set him up to be the Liverpool left back for the next decade.
