Modern Family has told the world about how good Liverpool’s 2017/2018 season has been.

The club was name dropped as having a ‘cracking good year’, and despite the linguistic absurdity of that sentence it’s always nice to be recognised. Check the video below for a cheap laugh!

Manager Jurgen Klopp has guided the side to a Champions League final and can look forward to another campaign at the top table – even if domestic form has suffered.

With a number of players having stand out seasons, things look promising for the future of the club. Leaving aside Mohamed Salah, who has had a tremendous impact in such a short amount of time, there have been improvements in a variety of important positions.

Klopp should be proud of how Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Andrew Robertson, Trent Alexandar-Arnold and Roberto Firmino have improved under his guidance.

Some of the team’s key players were somewhat curveball signings as few thought Oxlade-Chamberlain and Robertson would have such important impacts. The German has really proved that his eye in the transfer market is still sharp and we can expect more in the summer.

Liverpool fans have really got something to look forward to next season. With one of the most feared forward lines in the league and a defence that is improving quickly thanks to the signing of Virgil van Dijk, there is no reason to think why Klopp couldn’t challenge Manchester City for the title.

The Reds take on Brighton in the last Premier League game of the season before that huge European fixture against Real Madrid.

It’ll be important to take a win into that night in Kiev. Since the Roma win, things have deteriorated on a domestic front and that mustn’t be allowed to overshadow the season end or distract from that Madrid game.
