Recapping Liverpool’s end of the season player awards
Goal of the Season
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain received the Goal of the Season award for his strike against Manchester City in the first leg of the Champions League quarterfinals.
The Ox picked up the ball just behind City’s area and absolutely blasted it past Ederson to give the Reds a 2-0 lead. Since arriving in January, Jürgen Klopp has gotten the best out of Oxlade-Chamberlain in a central role. The England international’s career was in danger of stagnating at Arsenal, but so far, it looks like he made the right move by coming to Anfield.https://youtu.be/b-82TK6kmwQ
Oxlade-Chamberlain’s season for club and country is currently over after a knee ligament injury suffered in the first leg of the Champions League semifinals against Roma. He should be back in time for the start of next season and hopefully pick up where he left off.
