Liverpool strolled to a 4-0 win against Brighton & Hove Albion at Anfield to seal Champions League for next season. Here are our Liverpool player ratings.
The Reds qualified for the Champions League for the second season in a row after seeing out the Premier League season with a 4-0 thrashing of Brighton & Hove Albion at Anfield. The squad can now turn their attentions to Real Madrid in the UCL final knowing next season’s involvement in the competition is secure.
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp was forced into a change with James Milner not available through injury. Dominc Solanke was the player to come in. That meant a change of formation (or rather two formations); 4231 with Solanke up top changing to 442 with Roberto Firmino moving into a front two.
Mohamed Salah broke the record for goals in a 38-game-season with his 32nd strike in the competition. Then there were three unusual names on the score sheet; Dejan Lovren bagged a header with a beautifully timed run; Dominic Solanke got his first strike for the club with a rocket finish; Andy Robertson capped a remarkable rise with the last goal at Anfield this season. On to Kiev!
