Liverpool Player Ratings: Midfield

9. Record Breaker. Goal Scorer. Assist Creator. Egyptian King. Mohamed Salah. The best debut season in Liverpool history. The best season (full stop) in Liverpool Premier League history. Four fixtures in under two weeks recently saw a mini-dip in energy. But with a full week’s rest Salah was back to full speed. The Brighton fans clapped him off because he’s a pleasure to watch. A top performance to finish an incredible league season.. Right Midfield. Liverpool. MOHAMED SALAH

8. Wijnaldum has been crucial over the last few months. Earlier on the season his confidence dipped after being replaced by James Milner and Oxlade-Chamberlain in the starting lineup. Then he had a bad illness that took a while to fully recover from. However recently he has been back to his very best. That is great news for Klopp with the big game just around the corner.. Center Midfield. Liverpool. GINI WIJNALDUM

Hit a sweet early strike on the half volley that fizzed past the left hand Brighton post. Utterly dominant in the middle of the park today. He loves being Liverpool’s captain and has had a very strong season despite what you may read on Twitter.. Center Midfield. Liverpool. JORDAN HENDERSON. 8

6. Mane’s decision making was off today. He shot straight at Ryan when he should have passed to Firmino. The he passed (badly) to Salah when he should have just slotted it home. His runs and timing were excellent; beating the Brighton offside trap at will. Not his day but still a huge part of mounting pressure on The Seagulls.. Left Midfield. Liverpool. SADIO MANE
