Liverpool Player Ratings: Forwards

ROBERTO FIRMINO. 8. Played in a dual role today – part of a pairing with Solanke when we were in a 442 and then dropping into midfield when we were playing 4231. Thierry Henry thinks Firmino is the best striker in the Premier League. He would know. No goals or assists for the Brazilian today but this has been his best season at Liverpool.. Center Forward. Liverpool

I can see why Klopp likes him. Great running with power and purpose; does all the hard work so many others his age won’t. But ultimately strikers are rated on goals. And today Solanke got his first of (hopefully) many for the club. His rocket shot, from Salah’s perfect pass, settled the tie early in the second half.. Center Forward. Liverpool. DOMINIC SOLANKE. 8

Substitutes

Adam Lallana – 6

Has done exceptionally well to get back on the field this season. Came on for Sadio Mane and should now be available on the bench for the Champions League final. He offers something different and so that is good news.

Next: All of Rafa Benitez' Liverpool signings ranked 45 to 1!

Danny Ings – 6

Brought on the left side and was crucial in setting up Robertson’s goal.

Ben Woodburn- 6

The teenager replaced Firmino and will be hoping to make the bench in Kiev.
