Liverpool end Premier League season with incredible stat
Liverpool have ended their Premier League season with an absolutely incredible stat.
After the 4-0 win against newly promoted Brighton and Hove Albion, journalist Joel Rabinowitz tweeted that the Reds were the only side out of the 92 football league outfits to get through the entire season unbeaten at home.
That information shows the incredible nature of the beast manager Jurgen Klopp has harnessed, but also the intimidating nature of Anfield and the outrageous home support given to the team each week.
And Klopp’s men certainly repaid that devotion with an entertaining final day victory that included goals from defenders Andrew Robertson and Dejan Lovren.

It’s not often that you’d expect Liverpool to be winning 2-0 and Mohamed Salah not to be involved in the goals, and the flying Egyptian didn’t disappoint as he opened the scoring after 26 minutes.
Lovren then doubled the lead, before youngster Dominic Solanke netted his first league goal for the club and Robertson wrapped it up just a few minutes from the end of the game.

Despite finishing behind Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United in fourth place, Klopp will be able to take great heart from the fact that their home form was so good. There were memorable wins against Manchester City, Arsenal and a 5-0 hammering of Swansea City.
Liverpool clearly do need to work on aspects of their game, and that’s why they finished the season in fourth. There were clearly disappointing moments, such as the heavy defeat to Spurs and the early season route at the hands of City – but there is a lot of good that can be built on.
With a good transfer window, the squad can only get better. The defense includes a lot of younger players who are developing nicely, and Virgil van Dijk is proving that he can become a world-class defender.
