Liverpool star Mohamed Salah has captured the hearts of fans all around the world. Watch this beautiful tribute to the Egyptian King!

Liverpool fans across the world are making tributes to Mohamed Salah. They are coming in the form of songs, banners, blogs and social media posts. One fan of the Egyptian King has written a beautiful ode to Mo Salah. But get this, he is actually a Manchester United fan!

Art and news website commissioned poet and author Musa Okwonga to write an ode to Mohamed Salah. It was then filmed in Liverpool being read by diverse Scousers from across the city. Okwonga took on the project, despite being a United fan, because there is something special about Salah that even rivals can appreciate.

The poem highlights his greatest qualities as a player; speed, finishing and humility. It is that humble nature and winning smile that endears him to football fans across the world. There is a very real chance that he will be the star of this summer’s FIFA World Cup in Russia.

Salah has risen to be one of the biggest stars – and best players – in the world since his move last summer to Liverpool from AS Roma. He has scored 44 goals in his debut season and done so with blistering football and a smile on his face.

There were times last season when Liverpool looked a supreme attacking force with Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino. The addition of Salah has taken this team to incredible new heights and on the edge of glory.
