Let’s not beat around the bush, the 2017/2018 season has drawn to a close on a disappointing mark for Liverpool.
But look past the despair of the Champions League final and there are loads of reasons why Reds fans should be positive about the next campaign.
League tables are clearly there for a reason but if you look beyond that it’s clear that Liverpool have had a better time of it than their bitter rivals Manchester United.
United have ground out a season rather than entertained those they seek to serve: the fans. While manager Jose Mourinho is always good for some pantomime he has produced turgid football of late.
