Liverpool star Sadio Mane captained Senegal to their first World Cup win since 2002 as they beat Poland.
It took a Thiago Cionek own goal and one from M’Baye Niang to seal the African side’s 2-1 win over Robert Lewandowski’s nation. Gregor Krychowiak grabbed one back with moments to spare but it wasn’t enough.
The Teranga Lions managed to make the most of some terrible defending from the eastern European nation and came away with a historic win, which sparked some absolutely balling dance moves from Mane and his team.
Senegal famously beat France over 15 years ago and reached the quarter-final of that World Cup, before losing to Turkey. They are a strong team that feature an excellent spine of players and could do the same again.

Lead by former player Aliou Cissé, the outfit are sure that the whole of the continent is behind them, and this will certainly give them strength.

I can guarantee the whole of Africa is supporting Senegal.”"
In other World Cup news, a Mohamed Salah penalty was not enough to save Egypt from losing 2-1 to host nation Russia. The Pharaohs are winless after two defeats in two games, while Russia are riding high thanks to their hammering of Saudi Arabia and now this excellent victory.
