Liverpool wonderkid Harry Wilson has been linked with a transfer to Championship side Norwich City.

The Pink Un has reported that Wilson is a player of interest to the Canaries, who are having a tough time of it regarding departures.

James Maddison, who was linked to the Reds, has completed a move to Leicester City while Josh Murphy has been sold to Premier League new boys Cardiff City. This has lead the Carrow Road heirarchy to look towards the Liverpool starlet.

Wilson has recently completed a loan move with Hull City, which was a great success. The Welsh international battled an early injury scare to hit the back of the net seven times in just 14 games as he helped the Tigers climb the table in the second half of the season.

The Welsh international made his debut at the tender age of 16, but it took him until this year to net for the first time – which he did against China. Along with teammate Ben Woodburn, Wilson must rank as one of the most promising starlets for Ryan Giggs’ team.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is planning on sending the 21-year-old out on loan again, wrote Goal.com, and Klopp could be inclined to make the most of his connection with Scottish Premier League side Rangers.

Former U18 manager and Reds legend Steven Gerrard is now in charge of the Gers, and the website believes that Anfield bosses are more inclined to send their starlets to Scotland and the loving embrace of Gerrard.

This would have its benefits. Gerrard knows them well. He knows their strengths, their weaknesses and is more likely to give them an opportunity because of that. Rangers are also playing in the SPL, a good standard of football for those still developing their game.

Wilson has clear potential and this is probably a make or break season for him. Whatever happens, the club need to place him somewhere where he will play and improve.
