Danny Ward

This is a bit of a rare one, because the future Danny Ward is fighting for probably will be one that isn’t very good: second choice goalkeeper.

However, if Ward plays well during these games and incumbent Loris Karius performs poorly, there could be a spot up for grabs.

The Welsh international played well for Huddersfield during his loan spell there, but has been severely restricted on minutes since then.

With Simon Mignolet due to hold crisis talks with the club after the World Cup, wrote the Independent, you’d imagine that the Belgian man will be allowed to leave Anfield. That leaves Ward and Karius fighting it out. These fixtures could be huge.
