Once a Red always a Red. Ex-Liverpool goalkeeper Pepe Reina slammed homa a penalty for AC Milan last night against Manchester United in the International Champions Cup. While Liverpool were beating Man City in New Jersey, Reina was giving it to Man Utd.
The two sides played out a 1-1 draw which went to penalties. Another ex-Red got the goal for the Italians as Suso got on the scoresheet. The Spaniard has become a top player in Milan since leaving the Anfield.
There were an incredible 26 penalties in the shoot out with Man Utd eventually winning it 9-8. But Liverpool fans will be delighted to see Reina get on the scoresheet. The Spanish keeper joined the Serie A side this summer to challenge Gianluigi Donnarumma for the starting job.

The goalkeeper loves beating Man Utd. He famously ran the length of the pitch at Anfield when David Ngog scored the decisive second goal in the dying seconds against Manchester United. He ran so fast that he was the player to congratulate the Frenchman, running past all his teammates!
Pepe Reina was brought to Liverpool in 2005 and made 394 appearances for the club over 8 seasons. He was excellent in his first few years under Rafa Benitez and was easily the best goalkeeper the Kop has seen since the days of Bruce Grobbelaar in the 1980โs and 90โs.
Liverpool fans will be hoping that record transfer Alisson Becker will eclipse Pepe Reina in the next few seasons. There is plenty of genuine excitement that the Reds have a world-class keeper to match their lethal attacking ability.
