Alternative XI

Alisson; Clyne, Gomez, van Dijk, Robertson; Keita, Wijnaldum; Mane, Salah, Sturridge, Firmino

Liverpool drew too many home games last season. There is a chance Klopp could throw caution to the wind and look to blitz West Ham. If The Hammers do sit and defend, a midfield two of Keita and Wijnaldum may be enough.

The extra forward player would mean things become more fluid in attacking areas. Sturridge and Mane would interchange with both being the ones tasked with dropping in to collect the ball and start moves.

Whatever side Klopp goes with, it’s exciting to have options. Liverpool fans should strap themselves in – this season is going to be an exciting ride.
