Jurgen Klopp is the manager Liverpool need in order to regain domestic dominance and return to the success of their golden years.

The German manager has been criticized lately for his extravagant spending, when he once spoke against it regarding opposing managers in the Premier League. Klopp has also been looked down upon for his record in finals, and for failing to win a trophy while with the Reds.

These claims are fair, but lets be completely clear: Klopp is made for this Liverpool team. His heavy metal football and gegenpressing has wowed the supporters of Merseyside in his first few years with the club. The passion and humor he brings to work everyday is another very admirable quality of the gaffer.

Klopp has been able to totally change the culture and outlook on the club in a very short period. He is trying to make Anfield a destination for big stars, and by all means is he giving them reasons to do so. The recruiting has been made very easy for Klopp as Liverpool cruised through the Champions League last season and the some of the most famous new European nights were displayed at Anfield for our future stars to watch.

"As Jurgen recently said to The Mirror: “With our signings this summer we didn’t have to create some kind of story and say to them: ‘The Queen comes to Liverpool sometimes and if you sign for us you can meet her”."

The Liverpool boss is essentially trolling the clubs of London on their recruiting styles, and how he can just use football alone as his method of recruiting. It is working. Being able to bring Naby Keita, Fabinho, Xherdan Shaqiri, and Alisson Becker to the Reds in a single summer is a mind-boggling accomplishment. But it proves his point that Liverpool is a prime destination at the moment. That is a direct influence of Klopp.

Along with these signings comes hefty expectations. We are the Reds, and we deserve trophies. However, Klopp’s success should not be determined by the trophies he wins this year. If anyone will take this team to greatness, it will be him. It is a team built for him to succeed with his system, under his tactics.

Any other manager could not take this team to the heights they will reach with Jurgen. My belief is that we will win trophies this year. Squad depth is no longer such a glaring issue with more summer acquisitions and our youth players looked fabulous in preseason. Klopp has built this team to be a Premier League side and not just a great cup side.

The scary thing is, is that he is not done yet. The summer deadline is not over with, and there are still many rumors swirling. The work Klopp has done to date is that of no other.

He has rejuvenated life at Anfield, and brought back the classic European nights. He has already made so many memories, but this year and the coming ones will deliver so much more as he takes us to new levels of greatness. No matter what, he is the man for the project, and we as fans must put all of our faith in his process.
