This is the year I think Liverpool will regain their status in English football royalty, with their first ever title under the Premier League name. Many times in recent years you find that teams win right off when they get all of their pieces right, and eliminate as many of their weaknesses as possible.
Take a look at the past two winners, Chelsea with the additions of Antonio Conte and N’Golo Kante were two huge additions, that put them over the top in their chances to win the title. Also, Man City is a good example, with their acquisitions of Ederson and Kyle Walker which bolstered their defense and after building even more chemistry with their current squad, allowed them to dominate the league.
We have done the same thing regarding upgrading our weak links, however, we have done that ten-fold. We have gone out and got a tremendous central midfielder in Naby Keita, a brute of a defensive midfielder to replace the talents of Emre Can in Fabinho and a world class goalkeeper in Alisson.
Not to mention we got this nifty little fellow named Shaqiri who can bag a nice goal once in a while! We focused on our midfield, defense, and bench this transfer window which was our weakest spots on the field.
Our attack will only get more telepathic and furious, and when you add our additions in, we will truly be an unstoppable force. To give more reasoning, it is also extremely hard to win the Premier League in back to back years just because of the consistency and adaptation it takes which I why I have ruled out Man City.
The way Jose Mourinho has Man United playing, he will run them out of the top four and will be sacked before the new year. Chelsea and Tottenham will battle it out for 3 and 4, but Chelsea have the edge if they keep their key attackers along with the addition of midfielder Jorginho.
