8. Trent Alexander-Arnold had a really good game. It looks like he is ready for the start of the season to take his starting job back. He had great delivery on his crosses today with one almost landing on the foot of Salah which surely would have been a goal. He also two shots, one from deep that was just left of the post. Alexander-Arnold is once again proving that he will a huge part of the future of the club.. Defender. Liverpool. TRENT ALEXANDER-ARNOLD

7.5. This was a pretty easy game for our star center back. Virgil van Dijk was once again was dominant in the air, but when isn’t he? He handled any Torino attack with ease, and it was easily noticeable that he was doing the majority of the talking on the pitch, which forms the question as to why he was not the captain over Alberto Moreno?. Defender. Liverpool. VIRGIL VAN DIJK

Defender. Liverpool. NAT PHILLIPS. 7. The academy defender started his first game in a Liverpool shirt, and looked solid. Had one scintillating pass that led to a Gini Wijnaldum goal. Aside from that, he was sort of responsible for the Belotti goal as he was dominated in the air and watched the ball go into the net. However, it should be noted he still looked calm and composed throughout.

7. Moreno saw himself captaining this Liverpool team at Anfield for the first time in a while. Did not have a terrible game, but was halfway responsible for Torino’s goal as he did not contain his man and let him cross a lofted ball into Belotti which allowed him to pick one out of the back of the net. Pretty easy to say that Andy Robertson will start the season at left-back, however, Moreno should be ready to make some spot appearances.. Defender. Liverpool. ALBERTO MORENO

ANDY ROBERTSON. 7.5. Robertson saw himself starting the second half of the fixture, and did his part to contribute to the victory. Handy Andy always makes his mark getting up and down the field making passing combinations up the wing. Did not have that much to do on the defensive end, but looked more than ready for West Ham on Sunday.. Defender. Liverpool

NATHANIEL CLYNE. N/A. Made a 30-minute appearance for the Reds, in for Alexander-Arnold, however did not see that much action from Torino coming forward to get a grade. Looks like he will start the season coming off of the bench.. Defender. Liverpool

N/A. The 19 year-old academy player came on at center back in the 88th minute in his senior side debut. Not near enough action to grade, however, keep an eye on him as the Reds are alarmingly low on center backs at the moment.. Defender. Liverpool. GEORGE JOHNSTON
