My opinion is that the Bobby Dazzler, Roberto Firmino will be Liverpool’s player of the season this year. To make it clear, I believe that Mo Salah will have an equally good year as the one he just had, however, I think Bobby will be able to actually improve his already eye-boggling stats.

Teams will most likely start to focus in on Salah which could leave space open in the middle for Firmino to run in on, and we all know how that story ends. Probably with a no look finish and a series of high flying karate kicks, copied by winger Sadio Mane.

This attention will also give the Brazilian more room to create for others and with the hard working attitudes of Naby Keita, Mane and even Xherdan Shaqiri, he could really load up his assist count.

We have already seen how Keita has connected with forward Daniel Sturridge in the preseason, and are able to see how well he passes up through the middle of the pitch. When he starts playing alongside Firmino, he will get even better.

Bobby will be the recipient of many of those through balls leading to goal just because his knowledge of where to move on the field is so brilliant. When you put all of those factors together, along with his work rate, and ability to win the ball back in the middle third of the pitch, there will not be many people above him on the Liverpool team sheet.

This year could really be Firmino’s breakout season as a superstar, and he will have all the chances to prove to people all around the world that he is just as important as anybody on this Liverpool team.
