11. Fabinho

This transfer really took everyone by surprise. There was hardly any Twitter gossip, no frantic articles and no excitement building up among the fanbase. One day Fabinho was a Monaco player and the next, as if by magic, he was a Red.

And it’s really one that Liverpool have been crying out for. The Brazilian is a proper defensive midfielder, and Klopp hasn’t had one of those during his entire stint on Merseyside.

Fabinho should offer more protection to the back four and shore up the leaks that can stop the Reds becoming serious title challengers. If Emre Can was the paper over the cracks, Fabinho should be the cement.
