13. Danny Ward

Sorry Fabinho and Keita, but the deal done to move Danny Ward to Leicester City for £12 million is better than yours.

Sporting director of Liverpool, Michael Edwards, has seen his reputation soar during the 2018 summer transfer window and this is partly why. Ward has played no Premier League games and suddenly he’s going for more than £10 million.

That valuation is basically all down to one good Championship season with Huddersfield Town during 2016/2017. Edwards has played a blinder there.

Liverpool might not have been able to move on as many senior players as they would have liked, but this deal is very nearly the cream of the crop.
