14. Danny Ings

Klopp had to trim down his squad numbers and striker Danny Ings was one of the unlucky ones who has been moved on. We all saw the writing on the wall really, but the club have still struck a very good deal for the injury hit attacker.

Ings has moved to Southampton on loan for the 2018/2019 season, which will then be converted into a £20 million permanent deal once the campaign ends. £20 million! Southampton have just committed to splashing £20 million on Ings, who has played just 25 games in three years.

Edwards has to take credit for this bargaining and it represents an absolute steal for Liverpool, who will be delighted with that much money for a squad player.

It’s also a good one for Ings, who needs to get games under his belt in order to recover from those three horrible years. A popular player around the squad, we all wish him the best.
