3. Allan

If Brazilian Allan ever had dreams of playing at Anfield, he’s going to have to amend them to make sure they include a trip to the visitors changing rooms.

Work permit issues aside, the list of loan sides the midfielder has turned out for doesn’t really scream quality. In fact, his loan deal to Frankfurt is probably the biggest of the lot – and Allan hardly turned heads playing in Cyprus last season.

This transfer is rated poorly because he clearly needs to leave on a permanent basis. Getting another player off the books forever would have been the best outcome here, and it’ll surely have to happen at some stage.

With the amount of squad competition, it’s unlikely that Allan would even feature in cup competitions. You should have cut your losses now, Jurgen.
