4. Harry Wilson

With a little more faith, could Harry Wilson have been the next youngster to make his Premier League breakthrough? With relatively little cover out wide, could the Welsh international have played an understudy role to Mohamed Salah?

These questions will remain unanswered for this season, because Wilson has left on a season-long loan deal to Derby County.

The Rams won their first Championship game thanks to a late goal, and the 21-year-old played a full 90 minutes, so his progress will be interesting to watch. But you can’t help but feel that there could have been a place for Wilson in the squad this season.

Klopp has an excellent reputation for bringing through youngsters, but maybe a little more faith should have been shown in the forward. Regardless, this is a make-or-break season for Wilson, who needs to show that he can perform at the highest level.
