5. Ben Woodburn

This is another starlet who Liverpool fans had high hopes for. They had wanted to see him in the red this campaign, but that’ll have to wait another season.

Ben Woodburn was loaned out to Sheffield United, for whom he has played 64 minutes of Championship football. Again, could Klopp have granted the Welshman more time in his first team squad?

The arrival of Xherdan Shaqiri may limit that somewhat, but Woodburn is only 18-year-old and giving him sporadic minutes in the Premier League would surely still aid his development.

Loan deals are hard to judge and if United use the starlet a lot this could still turn out to be a good one. Keep a close eye on how Woodburn progresses throughout the campaign.
