Liverpool started the season off with a bang against West Ham cruising to a 4-0, victory. Here are our Liverpool player ratings:

The game featured the debuts of Alisson Becker in goal, and Naby Keita in the midfield. Alisson did not have that much to do as a result of Liverpool’s dominating possession which can be partly credited to Naby Keita.

The Guinea midfielder was sensational in his debut as he was seen running rampant all over the pitch. The game also featured a great performance by James Milner, who provided exceptional passing and defense in the middle of the pack.

It was the start Liverpool really needed to kick off a campaign that many fans will expect a trophy out of respectfully, because of the spending this transfer window. The squad has a tremendous amount of depth now with the likes of Jordan Henderson, Xherdan Shaqiri, and Daniel Sturridge coming off the bench today.

Fabinho was also on the bench but it looks like we will have to wait a little longer for Klopp to implement him into the side. Nevertheless, it was a scintillating victory, and the boys showed why they are the favorites to challenge Manchester City for the title.

Liverpool Player Ratings: Goalkeeper

8. Honestly, there was not a whole lot to do for our new Brazilian goalkeeper on the day. He only faced two shots on target, and made the saves he needed to. The hardest save he had to make was probably a header by Fabian Balbuena that went right at him. Becker’s distribution was solid though as most of his passes hit their targets, and he even had one long punt that almost gave Mo Salah a one-on-one situation in the latter half of the field. Good debut overall from the keeper.. Goalkeeper. Liverpool. ALISSON BECKER
