Liverpool Player Ratings: Forwards

9.5. Another candidate for man of the match, Sadio Mane had a brace to kick off his 2018 campaign, and he looked super sharp in his performance today. His second goal might have been offsides, but nevertheless he is making the creative runs for our other players to find him in threatening positions. The former Southampton winger beat countless players off of the dribble today and his chemistry with Salah and Firmino is something special to observe. Many have him slated to be the season’s high scorer, and he is off to a good start to achieve that.. Forward. Liverpool. SADIO MANE

ROBERTO FIRMINO. 8. Probably one of the quieter games you will see from Firmino this season. The Brazilian forward did not have that many chances at goal, but did set up the latter Mane goal and was trying to pick players out running through the West Ham defense all afternoon. He does a lot of the hard work for Liverpool that goes unnoticed on the stat sheet like his pressing and movement off the ball, and that is why he gets a fairly high mark today.. Forward. Liverpool

It only took 19 minutes before Salah put his name back on a Liverpool score sheet. Got himself in front of the goal for a brilliant Andy Robertson pass that only needed a simple touch to finish. To be fair, Mo could have had a couple goals today including one right in front of the net that blasted Fabianski in the chest. His dribbling looks improved from last year as he used a spinning roulette to get by a defender today that was quite awing. Once again, an integral part of our attack.. Forward. Liverpool. MO SALAH. 9

DANIEL STURRIDGE. 8. Would not of got a rating today if it was not for his late work to change the scoreline. Sturridge was subbed on to the pitch in the 87th minute and it only took him 20 mere seconds to put one in the back of the net off a corner kick. His form has been brilliant as of late, and it is looking as if he will be the super-sub this team needs.. Forward. Liverpool
