Marko Grujic

This is the transfer that everyone wants to happen, but nobody seems willing to grab by the collar and force it through.

First, Cardiff City threw their hat into the ring. Marko Grujic said no. Then Italian side Torino tottered along and offered a loan move that would become permanent next season. Liverpool told them to go away. Interest from Lazio never materialized into something more. Always the bridesmaid, never the bride. Our heart bleeds for Grujic.

With the numbers that Klopp has to call on in midfield, you can’t really see the Serbian getting a fair crack of the whip this campaign. He definitely won’t be able to play enough games to aid his development.

Grujic could become a good player, which is probably why Liverpool don’t really want to let him go (said the local press). But there isn’t really any place for him in the side. Sorry Marko, but you gotta go.
