Premier League fans have predicted an absolute bloodbath for the Liverpool vs Brighton game on Saturday.

The Reds take on the Seagulls at Anfield after a strong start to the campaign, in which they have won both their games without conceding.

First West Ham were seen off 4-0 without too much fuss, but Crystal Palace put up more of a fight before going down 2-0 last Sunday.

A 5:30pm kick off gives the squad a little more time to recover from their Palace exploits, but manager Jurgen Klopp may need to give some players the afternoon off. Regardless of the side picked, many supporters are predicting bad things for the away side – scroll down to see a snipped of the conversation and click through to see the rest.

Last season Liverpool racked up convincing home and away wins against Brighton as they beat them 4-0 at Anfield and 5-1 down on the coast. With the improvements made over the summer, the result could be similar.

Brazilian striker Roberto Firmino may have begun his 2018/2019 with a whimper, but Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah kicked things off with a bang. Mane already has three goals from his two appearances, while Salah has hit the back of the net once and has two assists under his belt.

Firmino will be eager to join in on the action, especially as Daniel Sturridge has enjoyed such a good preseason campaign and scored on his return to action with Liverpool. For now it appears as if Sturridge will have to settle for a role on the substitutes bench, but who knows what’ll happen in the future.

Brighton will be on a high following their 3-2 win against Manchester United, although Chris Hughton’s side have endured a mixed start to their 2018/2019 campaign after losing 2-0 to Watford on the first day of the season.

This is certainly a game Liverpool will be expected to win, although there are no easy games in the Premier League anymore and the players won’t be able to take anything for granted.
