No chance! Leicester fans have given up with no Vardy
Leicester fans have given up on getting a result against Liverpool on Saturday because Jamie Vardy is banned for the clash.
Vardy was given a three game ban for receiving a straight red card in their 2-0 win over Wolves, said the Mercury, which the club has decided not to contest.
The striker, who has just announced his retirement from international duty with England, missed the Foxes 4-0 cup win over former side Fleetwood Town. He will also be absent against the Reds and Bournemouth in the league.
His manager, Claude Puel, thinks that the forward can still be effective for the Three Lions for a few years to come – said Sky Sports. “He can continue a lot for two or three seasons (of national duty) but it’s his decision and I respect this,” the website reported that he commented.
Vardy has a ridiculous scoring ratio against Liverpool with seven goals in eight games, and will definitely be a big miss for the home side.
The 31-year-old’s pace causes problems for every side in the competition and it’s bound to be an easier day for Liverpool’s defence because of his absence. Leicester fans know this, and are disheartened. Check below to see what they said!

The striker has never been able to reach the heights he scaled during 2015/2016, when Vardy hit 24 goals in 36 games – including a record breaking run of scoring in 11 consecutive games. However, that doesn’t make the star less of a threat.
Last season Vardy netted 20 times in 37 Premier League games, and has one from two this campaign. The Sheffield born forward has plagued Liverpool every time they’ve met and his omission is definitely a big miss for the Foxes.
With two wins and a loss, Leicester have had a good start to the new season. A 2-1 opening day defeat to Manchester United was followed up with victories against Southampton and Wolves – a good opening three rounds, especially considering the Foxes lost Riyad Mahrez to Manchester City.
