No.3 – Mane scores, Salah struggles

It was two completely different stories for the wingers today.  Sadio Mané put in another great performance to continue his excellent start to the season. The Senegalese forward tops the Premier League scoring charts alongside Aleksandar Mitrovic of Fulham with four goals in four games.

Mohamed Salah, on the other hand, failed to get much time on the ball. His only real chance was a golden one which you would expect the Egyptian to score, but he somehow managed to place it wide. Salah’s start to the season has been slightly hot and cold, with 2 goals, 1 assist and 1 penalty earned in 4 games.

That is a decent return, however it doesn’t reflect how non-influential he has been in games so far. The Leicester game was possibly his worst yet, with no goal contributions coming from the Egyptian for the first time this season. It’s definitely too early to be worried about his form, and Reds fans can only hope it was a bad day at the office for their best player.
