No. 4 – Gomez brilliant again

It was yet another stellar performance from young defender Joe Gomez, who is excelling in his new role in the centre of defense alongside Virgil van Dijk. The former Charlton man won three duels and lost zero, whilst also making five clearances and three interceptions.

He has been a revelation for Liverpool this season, who have not had to worry one bit about the injury of Dejan Lovren, who will face a tough task in getting back into the team. Gomez was arguably Liverpool’s best player at the King Power, most notably making a crucial block to deny Leicester a possible goal that would’ve levelled the game during the second half.

We can only hope the young defender keeps up this phenomenal form he has found and grows that relationship with Virgil van Dijk. If Liverpool can become ruthless at the back… all the best Premier League!
