As reported this week by Express UK Liverpool and coach Jurgen Klopp have had serious talks with French central midfielder Adrien Rabiot.

The newspaper reported that French journalist Julian Laurens stated: “I don’t think it’s the first time Rabiot’s men have talked with people from the club. The interest from Klopp is even pre-Liverpool and Liverpool, since Klopp have always been there. Perhaps not as much as now. At 23, he is an incredible talent, offers something differently to what they already have”

Rabiot is a very interesting target for the Redmen as his Paris Saint-Germain will take on the Reds at Anfield in two weeks time. The PSG middleman has spent his entire senior career with the French team.

This deal is very intriguing is that his contract is expiring, which will make his move a free transfer at the end of the year, potentially saving Liverpool millions.

What could also happen is an advance deal where the club will make him an official Liverpool player after his PSG contract is fulfilled. The deal could be similar set up to that of Naby Keita’s minus the transfer fee.

Rabiot has made his interest very clear in the past, and anybody could be aware of his fandom is you follow him on social media. As recent as last year he had an Instagram story of Anfield during one of the Champions League knockout round fixtures.

He also has posted pictures of Steven Gerrard applauding him as a great player and giving him a farewell when he left the club.

It would be a great move for Klopp and the club to keep adding to our depth and midfield strength. Really, could you imagine a midfield with the likes of Rabiot, Fabinho, Keita, and Oxlade-Chamberlain to boot?

It would be sensational, and is all part of Klopp’s master plan to bring Liverpool back to dominant heights.
