Five reasons Liverpool will destroy Spurs on Saturday

How can we highlight the recent top scorer at the World Cup as a weakness? Because we watched those games and the first four of the Premier League season.
The six goals he scored at the World Cup is a fantastic achievement on paper but the reality was underwhelming. Two tap-ins against Tunisia (from designed set piece routines) then three penalties and a deflected goal (that he knew nothing about) inflated the tournament total enough for him to win the Golden Boot.
Good for him. But his lack of impact in any of the gameplay or any influence on the quarter-final and semi-final games bodes well for Liverpool this weekend.
In the Premier League, his header against Manchester United was excellent but that was the only spark of the early season. That goal broke his “can’t score in August voodoo” but he was anonymous last week in the defeat to Watford.
He picked up an ankle injury earlier in the year and the common consensus is that he was rushed back and needs a period of rest to recover. Neither England or Spurs can afford to do that meaning he will continue with sub-par performances until he breaks down properly.
