No.5 – New Stadium Disappointment

This game was meant to be the grand opening of the new Tottenham Hotspur stadium. The day when the Spurs fans could finally visit the catchily titled Northumberland Development Project.

When the fixtures were released I was in two minds about being the first team to play there. On the one hand I was delighted to have the opportunity to piss on their parade. Imagine dishing out one of Klopp’s hammerings at the opening. They’d never forget it.

On the other hand you have to imagine that the Spurs players would be up for that game in a way they won’t now it has been moved Wembley Stadium.

I think Liverpool will take advantage of a subdued crowd. The Spurs fans who are disappointed not to be in their new home off the back of a troubling loss to Watford with their talisman striker horribly out of form.
