No.5 – Klopp’s Men Make Big Statement

It was pretty clear to everyone before today’s game that a Liverpool win would go a significant way to signal that they truly are title contenders. Not only did the Reds beat Spurs, they played them off the park and looked in control throughout the whole game, bar a nervous last few minutes after Erik Lamela pulled one back for the team from North London.

The decision to drop Henderson for Keïta was a smart one and it seemed to work, with Wijnaldum being able to play deeper in a role which he looks very comfortable in. There’s still an extremely long way to go, but if Klopp and his team can keep things up, they could be on the cusp of something very, very special.

In a battle of wits for Klopp against Mauricio Pochettino, the German came out on top quite comfortably. Pochettino only has one win in eight attempts against Klopp. And that was handed to him by Dejan Lovren. The Argentinian is yet to out think the Liverpool boss.
