No.1 – Chelsea Striker Woes

Liverpool saw up close how dangerous Eden Hazard can be. His crucial goal late in the second half in midweek won the game for the Blues. After a season of injuries and underperformance his start to this term, and an excellent World Cup, have put the Belgian back in people’s minds as an elite player in the Premier League.

However, Hazard’s incredible form can be juxtaposed with his teammates. The other attackers at Chelsea are having a hard time. Alvaro Morata and Oliver Giroud have one goal between them this season.

The Spaniard has not been able to show why the Blues shelled out over £60 million for him. A good start to his Chelsea career has given way to a fallow 10 months. The January purchase of Giroud was an indictment to Morata’s form last season and little has changed since then.

The Frenchman is now 31-years-old and starting to show the signs of a career on the downward trajectory. Liverpool have nothing to worry about from the Chelsea strikers if they can keep Hazard in check.
