No. 5 – League Cup Revenge

Those Reds who missed out on Wednesday night will be dying to make things right. There eight first-teamers missing from the lineup that sank in the Carabao Cup and those competitive urges will be itching to get revenge on the Blues.

Klopp is instilling a winning mentality and the Reds will be smarting after their first loss of the season. It will be fascinating to see how they bounce back. I expect them to come out of the traps blazing and pick up two early goals.

There is the added dimension with a handful of the Reds being ex-Chelsea players. Mohamed Salah, Daniel Sturridge and Dominic Solanke are all former Blues. I would not bet against Salah heaping fury on the club that let him go after only 6 months.

In our Twitter poll most Reds wanted to Klopp to put out a strong side to drive towards a first trophy at Anfield for the German manager.

While the opportunity for silverware passing is tough to take, all will be forgotten if the Reds can run through Stamford Bridge and tear open the Blues on Saturday.
