No.2 – All Business Reds

Following Liverpool has not been for the faint hearted in recent years. Under Jurgen Klopp this side has been characterized as a free attacking team with blistering pace but prone to personal errors and collapses.

There is little of that characterization on display this season. The Reds’ attack has still created a host of chances but there is hasn’t been the devastating finishing or free-flowing counter attacks in the same way as last year.

However there has been a transformation at the back with a defense and keeper who are just as mean and talented as top-level defense needs to be.  That unit has been led by Virgil van DIjk and he epitomizes the new look Reds; class and steel.

There has been plenty of evidence in this short season that this team is different from previous years. That they can approach a tough away game in Europe with confidence and get the job done without fuss. If there is an early goal for Liverpool it could be a dominant performance with a convincing scoreline.
