Liverpool have not won in three games but they will be relishing the visit of Manchester City in the Premier League. Here are five reasons the Reds will be victorious against Man City.

You may not feel like a Liverpool victory at Anfield against Manchester City is inevitable on Sunday. It’s a tough game against the champions anyway but on the back of no-wins in three games you would be forgiven for feeling edgy.

I am here to convince you otherwise. These Reds can recover the form that has already Pep Guardiola’s Man City side three times already in 2018. If you include a pre-season victory in America then we are heading for five straight against the Blues.

The Reds were the first team (and one of only two) to beat Man City in the league last season as they ran to break all the records. That was a barnstorming 4-2 victory in the corresponding fixture.

That was followed by two victories in the Champions League quarter finals. The 3-0 win at Anfield was Liverpool’s best game of the season. And Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain sent the Kop rocking with a rocket of the goal that was named Liverpool goal-of-the-season.

Despite an early wobble in the away leg, the Reds got hold of the game to win 2-1 and seal a 5-1 aggregate victory in the Champions League.

Now the two sides meet as the leaders in the league. They are joint top with 19 points each from their first seven games. Man City have the edge in goal difference and so are in first place. Whoever wins this will remain undefeated and set back their rivals in the title race.

This is a huge game that I believe Liverpool will win. Here are five reasons the Reds trounce Man City at the weekend:
