Three reasons that prove City are running scared of Liverpool

Over the past 12 months, Liverpool have faced Manchester City five times . In this spell, it appears the Citizens have started to develop an obsession.

While Reds fans go about their business, the blue half of Manchester has drummed up some strange perception of there being an intense rivalry between the two clubs.

Let’s set the record straight City, Liverpool have never been that bothered about you. Rarely, and until very recently, have you been relevant to the conversation.

Sure, the Reds see City as a rival for the title and silverware in general, but this doesn’t automatically translate to deep rooted rivalry between fans off the pitch.

Maybe it’s because Jurgen Klopp is the only manager to be able to get inside Pep Guardiola’s head and force him to change the way he likes to play? Maybe it’s because we can’t stop beating them – who knows.

But one thing is for sure, fans of the oil rich club don’t like it when they have to come to Anfield, and for good reason.

As we look forward to Sunday’s encounter at Anfield, let’s review three reasons that show Liverpool have City running scared.
