Twitter won’t stop telling the same boring joke after Liverpool star Mohamed Salah picked up an injury playing for Egypt against eSwantini.

The BBC reported that Salah picked up a muscle injury, but that national team doctors indicated that it wasn’t a serious issues. The forward will, however, miss the Pharaohs next international and has come home for treatment.

After scoring against the African nation that was formally known as Swaziland, the former AS Roma man limped off just before the 45 minute mark. And now the whole of Twitter can’t stop making the same boring joke.

The replies to the Sky Sports tweet announcing the news were all predictably centered around villain Sergio Ramos, with the majority wondering how Reds’ fans will find a way to blame the Spaniard for this latest setback.

Despite Salah being in poor touch this campaign, the Egyptian is still a key part of Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool team and any extended period out of action will hurt the squad.

Xherdan Shaqiri should be the first in line to replace the forward, if he has to miss the Huddersfield game on the 20th of October. Dominic Solanke or Daniel Sturridge could also play on the wing, but that’s not the pair’s natural position and you’d back Shaqiri to do a better job than either of them.

The fuss made about the whole Ramos thing, which stems back to the injury inflicted by the Real Madrid man on Salah in the Champions League final, just shows how much opposition’s fear the forward.

They would be delighted if the star picked up a niggle, which then impacted his ability to get some form and fitness as the campaign grew longer. The internet trolls would love nothing more than to see the Premier League denied the chance to watch one of it’s best players in full flow.
