Liverpool love bringing through homegrown talents and as we head into the international break here are five English starlets Jurgen Klopp could swoop for.

Every season there seems to be a new domestic starlet making waves in the Championship, from James Maddison to our own Joe Gomez.

Plucking these youngsters from the second tier and throwing them into Premier League confrontation can be a risky science, but if the talent is matched with a desire to work hard then things normally end well.

Moving to a club like the Reds is made even more tricky because of the expectation of perfection manufactured by Manchester City’s relentlessly good form.

But manager Jurgen Klopp has shown time and time again that he can mix with the big boys and win games by trusting youth and potential. There are a lot of players dotted around the globe who owe Klopp for that.
