Liverpool possesses nearly a full squad that can compete with Manchester City and their endless resources.

The attack, defence, and goalkeeper have all met the incredibly high standards set by City.

Yet, the one glaring area of weakness that the Reds cannot match with the other top clubs in the world is a dynamic midfield.

Liverpool have some good options, but no one option impactful enough to generate a multitude of goals or high percentage chances.

Both attacking and central midfielders must be looked at because players such as James Milner and Georginio Wijnaldum can be improved upon.

It must be brought up that Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is still a very good option for the club, but his injury places him in a spot of uncertainty.

The last thing Jurgen Klopp can afford to be is uncertain. He must also have depth, as that will allow him to steer the club through the multitude of competitions Liverpool are and will be engaged in.

At the very least, Klopp must add a creative midfielder who can generate scoring opportunities. Also, a steady force in the centre should be added to complement the likes of Fabinho, Ox, and Naby Keïta.
