Nicolas Tagliafico

Ajax defender Nicolas Tagliafico has only been in Europe for half a season, but he’s already impressed watching scouts and has been linked with a move to the Premier League.

Arsenal are reportedly interested in Tagliafico, as are Newcastle United – and with an asking price of just £8 million it’s easy to see why.

The Argentine international is good in defence, but crucially he can also attack. This is important as Klopp needs full-backs who can pose a danger going forward, but who also have the energy to track back.

He’s 26-years-old, and so you’d have to question whether Tagliafico would want to leave Ajax for a club where he wouldn’t be a first-team regular. Robertson is king of the castle, and the Argentinian would have to understand that.

This move would be a rare value-for-money deal in an inflated market, and for that reason Klopp should take it seriously.
