8. James Milner was solid as ever against Bournemouth. The vice-captain got to wear the armband on his 500th Premier League appearance, but played a different role for Liverpool. The 32 year-old played at right back, and handled it with ease. Milly is literally a wild card in a board game, he can play anywhere and do anything you ask of him. He had some vicious tackles and his passing was class as usual.. Midfielder. Liverpool. JAMES MILNER

7. With Joe Gomez out for the next handful of weeks, Joel Matip got to see his second straight game starting tin the Liverpool defense. Similar to Wednesday, Matip did not make any glaring errors and was calmer than normal. The Cameroon international’s passing was more on point Saturday and he was even able to advance up the pitch with our ability to hold Fabinho further back.. Defender. Liverpool. JOEL MATIP

I am just simply running out of superlatives for Virgil van Dijk. Another clean sheet for the Dutchman, and he was powerful once again. Big Virg was a little less busy than normal but had to take care of some challenging corner deliveries, and did it with force. His organizational skills are impeccable and are equally as impressive as his talents on the field, as he is able to hold that high line of Liverpool so well.. Defender. Liverpool. VIRGIL VAN DIJK. 7.5

8. I love watching Andy Robertson bomb down the wing. He pretty much did it all morning against Bournemouth and it paid dividends for him as his low driven cross to Sadio Mane was hit in by Cook on accident. The Scot’s build up play on the left side was excellent and in defense he was solid once more. After a game off, Robbo should be ready to go for this tough run of fixtures against Napoli and Manchester United.. Defender. Liverpool. ANDY ROBERTSON
