Liverpool midfielder Gini Wijnaldum is camped in Manchester United gaffer Jose Mourinho’s head in the lead up to Sunday’s fixture.

The Reds are the only unbeaten side in the Premier League after Manchester City suffered a surprise loss to Chelsea last weekend, but Wijnaldum isn’t entertaining any invincibles talk.

And while the Dutch midfielder was at it, he also decided to clear a space in Mourinho’s swede and camp out there for a little while.

Jose is famous for his defensive style of play and his prevent-the-loss tactics – and that’s what Wijnaldum decided to call the Normal One out for.

“They know how to manage games and win games – or not to lose games!,”the Mirror reported that Gini craftily muttered.

After an excellent win against Napoli on Tuesday, spirits will be high throughout the camp. But the second heads start being turned towards an unbeaten campaign, things will start to go south.

The players have to stay focused on the immense task of pipping City to the Premier League – a team who may have harboured their own invincible ambitions until a week ago.

A Liverpool vs Manchester United clash is always one of the biggest of the year, and this is no exception. Despite the fact that the Red Devils are hidden away in seventh place on the table, they still have the same side that ended up second.

Wijnaldum knows it won’t be an easy game, particularly as Mourinho tends to relish the bigger clashes. “Everyone can have a bad season,” the former Newcastle United man continued. “It doesn’t mean they aren’t a good team with good players.”

On a personal level, the Dutch international is having an excellent campaign under Jurgen Klopp in a slightly modified role. Gini excelled against Napoli as his workrate and box-to-box ability meant the Reds could throw numbers at the problem at both ends of the pitch.
